Day 3 - Zubiri or bust...another challenge

After enjoying a hearty pilgrims meal and great night sleep..we felt a little recovered from what is said to be the hardest day of the Camino -.. over the Pyrenees . A latish breakfast ... and we finally made our way out into the fog on what turned into another perfect blue 30 deg day for our 23km walk to Zubiri.
SIDE NOTE > its amazing how we spent way to much talking about the strength of the wifi :.. dam you technology -....oh well I guess we are still getting into the spirit of The Camino .

The day was again a challenging one with some steep climbs On rocky paths and a steep descent into Zubiri at the end . Again a varied an beautiful landscape and it got hot through the day so I got a chance to use my trekking umbrella for the first time to the amusement and envy of other pilgrims. We love the animals playing in the fields..Anita ha a special moment as we stopped near a horse and foal...it came right up to Anita and gave her an encouraging muzzle...another Camino moment.
we did cross a number of magnificent motorbiking roads Full with BMW's .... hmm planning my next adventure .. riding in the foothills of the Pyrenees!!
So we were thankful when we made it to Albergue ... Rio Arya Ibaia..perched at the edge of a small river which we duly dipped our feet into the chilly water...oh so nice. So to rest till a pilgrims dinner ...will catch up on the washing at pamplona!
Ps: the blogs will definitely get shorter I promise☺
