As we awoke For day one of our long dreamt of Camino Pilgrimage a dense fog enveloped St Jean and our hopes sank for a classic pyrenees Crossing , blue sky and all ..... but as we headed to the start of the pilgrimage we saw the sun poke its face through and within 30 minutes we had our perfect crossing weather .
On Day 1 we sensibly took it easy on the "hardest" day of the Camino and yes whilst this was a very good idea it didn't make it any easy and OMG what a testing 8 km's it was but oh, so much reward ... Gods creation' stretched out before us in jaw dropping splendour ..yes lots of pain as we gratefully stumbled into Orisson but oh so much gain!
