Top 4 things I wouldn't leave home without

So we have completed 30% of our Camino . thought it would be a good time to do a "top 4 most useful things" so far on the Camino ...its a hard one  ( we will update each 1/3 and set what changes over time . )so here goes ... drum roll please....
(1) Anita .... I'd be lost without her ( you know what I mean ☺)
(2) Komperdell walking poles ... ever step I take is with this guys, unbelievably good , get me over the pyrenees down amazing slippery hills ... though the rain ... very efficient and a big reason why we have no leg problems
(3) My Apps ( android applications ) specifically :-
     - "Camino Companion" > keeps me on right path , path turns, sights, accom , altitude profile,km's etc etc
     - "Camino pilgrim" >helps me plan the a full route plan to Santiago in advance and modify as go (incl easy click re accom. Options)
     - "Maverick GPS tracker/ pebble watch".say no more , i have kms travelled, time and pace on my wrist
     - "Travel pocket" simple app to track spending
(4) medical stuff..particularly Voltarin gel which keeps our feet a little more pain free (thought we bought too much of medical stuff but are using all to good effect
****Special mention, though only used 3/16 dats trekking umbrella very effective in rain and sun.

So we will see how things are next rating season...
Buen Camino

  1. Hi Paul, I have been vicariously enjoying your journey every day. Keep up with the reports.
Do you keep a recharge battery pack as those GPS apps suck down the juice? Cheers Wayne
