Day 44 - 4.3km ..1.5 hrs...no pain...its washing day

As mentioned previously we are ahead of our schedule so planned some shorter days. ... walking 700 + km does catch up with you eventually so we are taking the opportunity to savour every km .Today was reward for Day 37 when we walked 11 hours and 32 km's ... This was a brief 1 1/2 hours and 4.3km . We were spoilt at the refurbished pilgrim hospital,Rectoral de Lestedo, last night sharing a lovely dinner with a couple of Poms with kids in in OZ and NZ. They were those tourist Camino type☺ but a laugh to be with.
So we had a sleep in and late breakfast and were checked in @ our next accommodation at Palas de Rei by mid-day ... now we can do a full clothes wash in a machine for a change ... well that my justification anyway.
Our short walk had the normal Galacian elements of every day except no more big climbs & descent as we head to Santiago. One point of interest is that we were passed by "wheel barrow man"..who we snapped prior to climbing to O'Cebeiro... power to him, just doing his own Camino.
Had an unexpected, surprise last night as an email came though from one of our booked accommodations indicating that they would arrange our transport to the site ... horror.. . cheeked maps to find it was 6km's from the Camino ... a Frantic number of emails sent trying to cancel the reservation and book a new one ... thankfully all is sorted and everything is back on track. ... just another Camino moment ... now for some lunch... (see plc ) and watch the clothes dry.☺
..4 days to Santiago.
